Our Classes

K3 (3-4 year old’s)

Our K3 classroom is a class of 15 three to four year old students with a teacher and teacher’s aide.

The day in the K3 begins with Bible time that includes a bible story and verse memorization. The day is structured with a balance of indoor and outdoor free play, small and large group learning, and more intensive time for academics such as prewriting, math and phonics. Countryside Christian Preschool provides an excellent academic readiness program each morning. Your child will learn to recognize letters and the sounds they make, along with numbers and math readiness skills. They will also experience a restful, afternoon nap and plenty of “fun time.” The goal of the K3 program is to introduce and familiarize children with “school etiquette” to prepare them for K4.

Requirements for this classroom are: the child must turn 3 on or before September 1 of the school year you wish to enroll, and must be potty trained. (We are willing to work with children on mastering potty skills, but the child must wear underwear to school each day).

K4 (4-5 year old’s)

Our K4 classroom is a class of 18 four to five year old’s with a teacher and teacher’s aide.

The day in the K4 classroom begins with Bible time that includes a bible story and verse memorization. The day is structured and mirrors a Kindergarten type of schedule as the school year progresses. Through the Abeka curriculum your child will be taught letter and number recognition, letter sounds, and sentence writing abilities along with reading short stories. A variety of activities and worksheets are given to help emphasize all areas of academics. Additionally, teachers conduct assessments twice during the school year to understand progress each child is making as well as highlighting where extra attention is needed.

Requirements for this class are: the child must turn 4 on or before September 1 of the school year you wish to enroll. To determine if a child is eligible for the K4 program we look for various signs such as age appropriate attentiveness and focus, independence, emotional maturity and respect for self, adults, and others. These are also foundational skills we will help children develop to a more advanced level in this classroom to prepare for Kindergarten.

Curriculum

Each of our classrooms offer a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered environment. In the K3 and K4 classrooms we teach the A Beka curriculum, an accredited Christian based curriculum. The A Beka curriculum teaches from a Christian perspective and instills good character and moral values.
