Our Preschool program is designed for children beginning at age 2.
PreK-2: 2-Year-Old's
Our two-year-old program is designed for children who have turned 2 years old by September 1 of the year they are applying for. At this age, children start becoming more independent, their language begins to develop, and they start to discover the world around them.
The two-year-old's day is planned with intention and designed to help each child develop a healthy, positive attitude about his/her academic education, the classroom setting and an expectation to develop a positive sense of themselves and their peers.
The day begins with prayer and a scripture lesson filled with the message of Christ's love. Throughout the day your child will be introduced to letters, numbers and other mathematic concepts. We will work on building vocabulary, gross and fine motor skills, health awareness, social and safety skills and good manners throughout the day.

PreK-3: 3-Year-Old's
Our three-year-old program is designed for children who have turned 3 years old by September 1 of the year they are applying for.
Our PK3 classroom is a class of 12 three- to four-year-old students with a teacher and teacher’s aide.
The day in PK3 begins with Bible time, which includes a bible story and verse memorization. The day is structured with a balance of indoor and outdoor free play, small and large group learning, and more intensive time for academics such as prewriting, math and phonics. Countryside Christian Preschool provides an excellent academic readiness program each morning. Your child will learn to recognize letters and the sounds they make, along with numbers and math readiness skills. They will also experience a restful afternoon nap and plenty of “fun time.” The goal of the PK3 program is to introduce and familiarize children with “classroom etiquette” to prepare them for PK4.
Children entering the PK3 classroom must be potty-trained. (We are willing to work with children on mastering potty skills, but the child must wear underwear to school each day).

PreK-4: 4-Year-Old's
Our four-year-old program is designed for children who have turned 4 years old by September 1 of the year they are applying for. At the stage, we are preparing students for Kindergarten.
Our PK4 classroom is a class of 16 four-to-five-year olds with a teacher and teacher’s aide.
The day in the PK4 classroom begins with Bible time, which includes a bible story and verse memorization. The day is structured and mirrors a Kindergarten type of schedule as the school year progresses. Through the Abeka curriculum, your child will be taught letter and number recognition, letter sounds, and sentence writing abilities along with reading short stories. A variety of activities and worksheets are given to help emphasize all areas of academic studies. Additionally, teachers conduct assessments twice during the school year to understand the progress each child is making as well as highlighting where extra attention is needed.
To determine if a child is eligible for the PK4 program, we look for various signs such as age appropriate attentiveness and focus, independence, emotional maturity and respect for self, adults, and others. These are also foundational skills we will help children develop to a more advanced level in this classroom to prepare for Kindergarten.
